Russias cargo turnover grew 1.3 percent over the last seven months

As reported by the information center with reference to an analytical agency, in the first two quarters, the transport turnover amounted to 2.929 trillion ton-km, which is by 1.3 percent more than in the previous year.
In the period from January to July, railway turnover for both cargo and passengers increased by 1.4 percent to reach 1.339 trillion ton-km. Similarly, pipeline and road transport saw an increase in turnover year-to-year, by 0.8 percent and 0.3 percent, respectively.

Sea container shipping grew at a record rate of 25.2 percent year-to-year.
Similar trends are observed with inland waterway and air cargo turnovers.
